    2.0.1 older than itself?

I have installed the 32-bit binaries of DeinoMPI 2.0.1 on adjacent, identical PCs in a university lab. All default options were taken, and both of them let me add the other host and a third PC without Deino on it yet for comparison. For some reason, when I scan the hosts on either PC, they both identify all hosts as grey, no Deino. I installed 2.0.1 on my home PC and it identifies itself as blue, having a previous version. How's that again?

The scan tool has many false negatives due to firewalls, network and password issues. If the tool can't contact a host or the host requires a password to connect to it shows up as gray. The verify tool is more accurate since it connects to the hosts and determines dependencies. But the only guaranteed method is to run an app like the example cpi application on the hosts in question. If it runs then the setup is good to go.
