    Installation Problem

    Hi,

I installed DeinoMPI on my machine and created a credential store.

However, when I open the cluster, it said that DeinoMPI is not installed?

    Can anyone tell me why?

    Thanks.

    Re: Installation Problem

If you search the forum for "not installed" you will get various posts about firewalls.  DeinoMPI uses TCP/IP sockets to communicate and if you have one or more firewalls installed they will probably block the DeinoMPI communications (most firewalls block everything by default).  You can turn off your firewalls and then attempt to run a DeinoMPI application.  If this solves the problem then you know it is a problem with your firewall blocking ports.  If this does not work then it may be a problem with user names and passwords.

    Re: Installation Problem

I'm attempting to assemble a cluster in an instructional lab, which is located behind a NAT firewall, but Windows firewalls are disabled.  I see the same problem intermittently after reboot, along with an occasional message reporting something like "Windows has recovered from a damaged registry by using a copy ..."

I am now trying again with file storage of credentials.
